Why it exists
Shared photos get compressed and scattered across a dozen chats. Capch gave every friend and group one timeline of originals that saved straight to Apple Photos.
What it does
- Groups, one-to-many “Drops” for events, Live Activities, a share extension and a widget.
- In our benchmark a 4K original arrived in 8.48s. WhatsApp took 31s to deliver a 720p re-encode.
How it’s built
- Idea to public beta in about 8 weeks, then 30+ builds to App Store launch.
- A weekly build, measure, learn loop fed by in-person research and observed usage.
- When the data said the core feature was wrong, I wound the app down and pulled the transfer engine out. It became Graith CTS.
